Celebrate Cuckmere Exhibition

As part of the 'Celebrate Cuckmere' exhibition local artists were asked to give their interpretation of the beauty this famous area. A print of my own painting of the Seven Sisters was chosen and is seen here in one of the Coastguard Cottages depicted in the scene. The owner is opening her cottage for visitors and copies of my print are on sale. Tea, cake and the fabulous view are also on offer. The exhibition runs from 11th to 19th June.

Byron Bay

This painting is loosely based on a view of Tallow Beach at Byron Bay New South Wales Australia.

The day was blustery and a passing rain shower had just cleared giving the sand a reflective glare. A figure and dog create the focal point and a Star Fish supplies foreground detail.

Falmer Poppies

This little known view looks up from Falmer Village towards the sea at a field of poppies. A farm track weaves through the cornfield. The Village is a quiet sanctuary east of Brighton near the A27 to Lewis and Eastbourne. Over the horizon reflected light from the sea fills the distant skyline.
